We Want to Hear from You

At the Office of the Auditor General we develop audits that examine how well the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador manages its resources and operations. We encourage Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to provide information related to our on-going audits, or information on government programs that you may be concerned about.

You can provide input by:

  • Contributing information to an audit in progress
  • Suggesting a new topic for an audit
  • Raising an issue about financial waste or mismanagement

Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who suspect misuse of public assets are encouraged to contact the Office with their concerns by:

Email: oagmail@oag.nl.ca
Phone: 709-729-2700

We will respond to your inquiry within a few business days. All information you provide is treated confidentially.

To learn more about what we can and cannot audit, how we select audit projects, and how we use information received from the public, please visit the What We Do section of our website.

How we use the information provided to us

The information we receive from the public:

  • Assists our audit teams to identify risks or concerns within an entity we are auditing.
  • Helps us identify entities and programs that may benefit from an audit by our Office.

We acknowledge the receipt of all information, and may request additional details. However, we do not report back to individuals who present information to our Office. This means we do not inform individuals who submit information whether we used the information, or how it was used.

Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are encouraged to follow us on TwitterFacebook, and LinkedIn for the latest updates.
