REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS FOR FINANCIAL STATEMENT AUDIT SERVICES
The Office of the Auditor General invites quotes from qualified audit professionals or firms for the provision of audit services for the period of May–September.
This contract will be for a term of three years with a guaranteed minimum annual commitment of $10,000. The Office is looking for the following roles:
- Detailed File Reviewer: Conduct detailed reviews of audit working papers; ensure compliance with CAS, applicable accounting framework (with a focus on PSAS) and Office methodology; provide feedback to audit teams; work collaboratively with audit teams.
- Auditor in Charge: Lead planning and execution of audit assignments; supervise Auditor General staff; conduct risk assessments; review working papers; ensure work meets CAS, applicable accounting framework (with a focus on PSAS) and Office methodology; assist in reporting.
Quotations can be submitted for one or both of these roles as they will be embedded with Office audit teams. The Office will provide all required assets, such as a computer and work space.
Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian PSAS
- Public-sector audit experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
The Auditor General of Newfoundland and Labrador is the independent auditor of the Public Accounts of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and certain Crown agencies.

All electronic submissions must be clearly identified Services of Auditor(s). Late quotations will not be accepted and will be returned to the proponent. The proponent shall provide the hourly rate and level of experience of the proposed resources. The Office of the Auditor General is not bound to accept the lowest priced quotation and may exercise the right not to select any of the quotations submitted. Please note that auditor(s) selected must have a current Criminal Records Screening Certificate (Certificate of Conduct) from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
